Gaillac AOC

One of France's oldest wine appellations on the Tarn river in the Midi-Pyrénées, between Toulouse and Albi. Extraordinary variety of indigenous grapes including Mauzac (white), Len de l'El, Ondenc, Duras, Fer Servadou and Prunelart for reds. The region produces still, sparkling (Gaillac Mousseux) and passérillé dessert wines. The diversity of local varieties and the artisan producer movement have made Gaillac one of France's most interesting underdog appellations.
