Romania Recaș Wine Region

Romania's westernmost wine region, located in the Banat plain south of Timișoara near the Serbian border. The Recaș wine region benefits from a continental climate moderated by Adriatic influence flowing through the Carpathian passes, creating conditions for Fetească Regală (Royal Feteasca), Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and the indigenous Burgund Mare to produce wines of surprising freshness and elegance. Cramele Recaș is the region's most internationally visible producer, exporting to 35+ countries and demonstrating Romania's western Banat terroir to the world's wine market.
