Samos Nectar PDO Sun-Dried Muscat

Muscat of Samos PDO, Greece
Samos Nectar is produced from sun-dried Muscat grapes — harvested in August and laid on rush mats in the island sun for 10–12 days to concentrate sugar and flavour before pressing. The result is a wine of remarkable concentration: amber-gold with aromas of dried apricot, fig jam, raisin, orange marmalade, and beeswax. The palate is luscious and complex with a long, honeyed finish — one of Greece's great dessert wine expressions.
complement
The Mediterranean's most celebrated dessert with the Aegean's finest sweet wine — Samos Nectar's fig and apricot complexity and its honeyed sweetness are perfectly calibrated for baklava's nut-honey richness

complement
Sun-dried Muscat's concentrated sweetness and acidity cut through blue cheese intensity while the fig in the preparation echoes the wine's dried fruit concentration — one of the great sweet wine-cheese pairings
