Montsant's most celebrated wine — a field blend of old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena from multiple parcels on the slate and limestone slopes around Falset. Indigenous yeast fermented in large casks; aged 12 months in old French barriques. Deep ruby; intense blackberry, dried cherry, dark chocolate, liquorice, herbs, and a distinctive mineral-slate backbone. Power and elegance in unusual balance. Excellent at 5–15 years.
