Laphroaig 10 Year Old is the standard expression that defines the Laphroaig style and represents the most polarising whisky in Scotland's canon: intensely medicinal, iodine-rich, seaweed, antiseptic, and smoky — characteristics that its devoted following considers unparalleled and that newcomers may find challenging. At the 10-year mark, the spirit's raw power is still evident — wood softening is present but the phenolic character (45+ ppm) dominates.
