Description
Madura — the island off the northeast coast of East Java — is famous for three things: bull racing (karapan sapi), salt production, and SATE. Madurese are the most prolific sate vendors in Indonesia — Madurese sate carts operate in virtually every city in Java, and "sate Madura" has become a generic term for street sate regardless of the vendor's actual origin.
